China y las libertades ciudadanas.

Los periodistas de la publicación Nanfang Zhoumo o Semanario del Sur, han realizado una huelga en protesta por la censura impuesta a dicha publicación. A esta iniciativa se han unido cientos de personas en Canton, capital de la provincia de Guangdong para reclamar mayor libertad de expresión y democracia.

El origen de las manifestaciones, según los redactores del periódica, fue la decisión del jefe de propaganda provincial, Tuo Zhen, de sustituir un artículo que pedía el constitucionalismo en China, por otro dedicado a alabar al Partido Comunista Chino.

En relación con este atropello a la libertad de expresión se han sumado las protestas  en las redes sociales de actores, blogueros y académicos chinos.

Xi Jinping, futuro presidente chino, ha prometido gobernar con mayor sensibilidad a las peticiones de la población, como es este el caso.
