FREE TRADE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES AND THE EUROPEAN UNION
Crises require among other things to sharpen your wits at all levels, and one of the consequences of the current global crisis is the agreement reached between the United States and the European Union to create what would be the FTA's most critical at a global level. To accomplish this feat they have a period of two years.
Famous are the eternal confrontation between these two economic powers in the World Trade Organization, but the growing shadow of the Chinese giant makes these old enemies unite to try to fight a battle that will be very hard, and which shall be settled Who is the conductor of the planet's economy.
Free trade means, among other things, reduce tariffs even in sectors that may be affected by being unprotected against the demands that would be the entry into the market of another block economic sectors with competitive advantages.
However, the new sectors of the economy are the real challenges in discovering new opportunities. But this requires developing new partnerships and a new way of doing business. It must also find ways of teaching to adapt to new global tools such as the Internet and new and merciless machines that control our world increasingly dependent on technology.
But above all it is very important to establish agreements in new areas such as neuroscience, nanotechnology, supercomputing centers and the creation of joint advanced research that can open new horizons in all fields.
Agreements have been produced by the U.S. and EU with other countries, but this proposal is to provide a certificate of naturalization to the fact that their economic relationship is currently the world's largest in the world and accounts for a third of total trade in goods and services.
