DIGITAL ECONOMY RANKING

Digital economy rankings was published as a one-off exercise by the Economist Intelligence Unit as the follow-up to their previous e-readiness rankings. This was done to reflect the increasing influence of ICT in economic (and social) progress. The report was titled "Beyond e-readiness".[1]
As of 2014, the Economist has not published a follow up to the 2010 report, leaving it substantially outdated. A much more comprehensive and up-to-date index is the UN's ICT Development Index.

Ebola in Spain.

Ebola in Spain

The controversy is served.
Should have been the Ebola cases treated in situ? Perhaps a plan that would have seen the deployment of field hospitals coordinated at the level of the European Union to address the problem, by treating not just Europeans featured in the countries in which the virus has been appeared, but in general to the affected populations, it could have been a solution to consider. Surely bureaucracy, spending would mean a general application deployment, and no predefined action plans for situations like this, have prevented such a solution.
Moreover, the WHO statements merely express it is inevitable that more cases occur in Europe. The solutions must be supplied by the specialized agencies in coordination with health services in each country and the European Union.

Is it justified public alarm how that is occurring? WHO raises nearly 4000 the number of deaths. Indeed Europe is not Africa, but even the most qualified expert can’t ensure how the situation may evolve and how to combat contagion to be tackled.

Social networks and killer robots. Redes sociales y robots asesinos

Social networks and killer robots

The world is crossing a dangerous storm. I’d say that the world is always crossing more or less dangerous storms.
The ebola curse is killing thousands of people. The Ukranian conflict and many other wars (more than 30) have killed million of people. The Islamic State is imposing a unbearable terror law. Protests in Hong Kong claiming for democracy, ...
It is important to do something really clever at a global level to overtake this impasse.
Responsible people, everyone of member in social networks could do society move in a different way . It could be the most relevant tool for doing things together. Social networks are the most powerful tool for getting a global responsible democracy.
Democracy is a global responsability. But democracy means choose with responsibility....it means solve the world famine...it means redistribute wealth and take control over  natality...it means having empathy.
This days the media have published news about dilemma of give way to killer robots, is the way in which we project future. which would be the way killer robots must do their work?. the UN should spend their time trying to solve human problems, problems affecting human lives. A healthy society never should have develop robots to kill people. And social network would work in such a sense to stop making killer robots. http://www.stopkillerrobots.org/

Redes sociales y robots asesinos
